Ms. Cara Zakian, Music Teacher, earned her Master’s Degree from Bennington College and a Bachelor of Arts in Music degree from Hartwick College. In addition to music passion, Ms. Zakian loves to travel and enjoys the outdoors.

Ms. Hillary Brewer, Library Media/Technology Integration Specialist brewerh@sjsusa.org
Ms. Hillary Brewer earned a Bachelor's of Arts in History from Fairleigh Dickinson University with a Minor in British Studies & Arabic Studies and a second Minor in Communications. Ms. Brewer participated in a five week International immersion program while enrolled in Fairleigh Dickinson University. She holds a School Library Media Specialist Certificate of Eligibility and is actively enrolled at William Paterson University, Wayne, NJ. Ms. Brewer brings a wealth of technology and social media experience to her position. She will also serve as the yearbook advisor.

Mrs. Suzanne McFadden, Physical education mcfaddens@sjsusa.org
Mrs. McFadden attended William Paterson College, Queens College and The Wood School. She has served Saint Joseph School over the years as a long term substitute teacher and day to day substitute and will join the staff as the new Physical Education teacher in September 2019. Mrs. McFadden has served as a CCD teacher and Middle School Girls Basketball Coach for Oradell, Waldwick and Saddle River,NJ.

Mrs. Cristina Viganola earned her Bachelors Degree in Psychology from New Jersey City University. She brings over 10 years of experience in the classroom to Saint Joseph's School. She was formerly the Spanish/Technology teacher for K-8th grade at Saint Stephen's School. Mrs. Viganola enjoys spending time with her husband and children, reading, doing barre, running and walks on the beach.

Art Blog
Ms. Elise Duffy joined the faculty this year as one of two Art Teachers. She teaches on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Ms Duffy attended Massachusetts College of Art in Boston where she majored in illustration. she went on the Berkley College where she earned a degree in Interior Design. Ms. Duffy has been a Fine Artist for over 20 years where she has done commissioned work, kitchen and interior design. Ms. Duffy offers private art lessons for students Kindergarten through Grade 8.
Ms. Areana Solano joined the faculty this year and teaches on Mondays. She has worked extensively at the Montessori Center, Nyack, NY. Ms. Solano holds an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education/Language Track from Rockland Community College and remains a current student.
