Ms. Lizanne M. Coyne, Assistant Principal of Saint Joseph's Upper School has been in the field of education for 25 years, mostly as a private school senior administrator including positions as Head of School, Assistant Headmaster and Dean of Students.
She holds three Masters Degrees in education: an MA in Educational Leadership from Ramapo College, an MA in Curriculum Design and Teaching from Columbia University-Teachers College, and an MA in Athletic Administration from Norwich University. She also holds NJ State Principal and Supervisor certifications, as well as having passed the exam and completed the internship for the Superintendent license.
Passionate about soccer, Ms. Coyne received a full athletic scholarship to Providence College as an undergrad and captained their NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Team. She is the 5th all-time leading goal scorer for the Friars. Until recently she was also a director and co-owner of GOALS Soccer Camp, one of the largest all-girls soccer camps on the east coast.
Ms. Coyne teaches religious education classes at Immaculate Conception Church in Mahwah and enjoys spending time with her young son and coaching his soccer and basketball teams.
Nicole Caraballo has her BS from Dominican College and has been teaching grades 5 and 6 in Catholic school for three years. She was a facilitator for the Archdiocese ELA Curriculum Mapping project and brings a wonderful enthusiasm to her classroom.
Mrs. Osika received her degree in Mathematics from William Paterson University. In addition to teaching 9th and 10th grade math for four years at Garfield High School, she has taught classes at the Gauss Academy of Mathematical Education. She resides with her husband in Wallington, NJ, is fluent in both English and Polish and loves to read and cook.
Matthew Withers has his Bachelor's degree from Stockton University and is certified in both Elementary Education and Middle School Science. In addition, he also enjoys reading, creative writing and photography. Mr. Withers is thrilled to share his love of learning with our students.
Adrienne Zuccaro brings 12 years of teaching experience in both public and Catholic schools, as well as her love of language to SJS. She is an accomplished linguist, fluent in English, Italian and Spanish. She has her Master of Arts from Caldwell College. Ms. Zuccaro is excited to share her love of language with our students!
Miss Babiar, a graduate of SJS, earned her degree in English from California State University: Long Branch. She has taught composition courses, as well as SAT Verbal preparation courses. She has a passion for creative writing and has published works of fiction, nonfiction and poetry. She returned home to NJ to pursue an MA in English at Rutgers University.
Mr. Juszcyk holds a BA degree in Communications and a Master Degree in Social Sciences with a concentration in History. He is the Co-founder of the The Saturday Afternoon Poets and author of four poetry books. He is also published in various magazines and anthologies and conducts writing workshops and guest lectures at various schools, libraries and other venues. Mr. Juszcyk is certified in Elementary Education and Social Sciences. He was honored as “Teacher of the Month” in 2003 and has won praise for improving Terra Nova test scores and for his expertise as a teacher of Social Studies, Language Arts and Religion.
