Saint Joseph School, a Blue Ribbon Catholic school in Oradell, NJ, invites families to tour the school and learn about its offerings and the academic advantages provided to students. These open houses will focus on Pre-K 3 and Pre-K 4, as well as Kindergarten. No advance registration is required. Pre-K 3 and Pre-K 4 provide both half and full day options, Kindergarten is full day. Saint Joseph School offers both before and after care for students, as well as hot, nutritious meals. During the tour you will be able to visit the facilities and meet our fully accredited and experienced faculty and staff.

Under the experienced leadership of Principal, Dr. Paula Valenti and Vice Principal, Lizanne M. Coyne, Saint Joseph School is growing and stronger than ever. Dr. Valenti brings 40 years of combined classroom and administrative experience to the role, including holding a doctorate in Educational Leadership, a Master of Arts in Elementary Education with a specialization in Gifted and Talented, and a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. Dr. Valenti has been awarded a Distinguished Fellow of the Art Educators of New Jersey, three New Jersey Governor's Awards for Lifetime Achievement, and was named 2012 New Jersey Principal of the Year by the NJPSA as well as a National Eastern Region Elementary Art Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Coyne has been in the education field for 25 years mostly as a private school senior administrator including positions such as Head of School, Assistant Headmaster and Dean of Students. She holds three Masters Degrees in education: an MA in Educational Leadership, an M. Ed in Curriculum Design and Teaching, and an M. Ed in Athletic Administration.

Registration

The registration process begins with a meeting with Dr. Paula Valenti, School Principal. Once an acceptance has been declared, the registration process can begin. All necessary paperwork will be provided.   


Toward the end of the school year, prospective students are encouraged to come to Saint Joseph School for a visit, through the “Lancer For A Day” program. There will also be time scheduled for uniform fittings and new student orientation.


In order to complete the registration process, the following documents are required:

1. Birth Certificate, (or Passport for international students)

2. Baptismal Certificate

3. Immunization Record

4. School Registration Form and Fees

5. Current Physical - New Jersey requires that all physicals must be done within six months of the start of the new school year

6. Out-of-State or International Students must also have a TB Mantoux test completed within six months of the start of the new school year.

International Students

All interested students must first apply and be eligible for admission to Saint Joseph School. Once the student meets the school enrollment requirements, the appropriate I-20 application/ paperwork can be issued. Saint Joseph School will assist the family with this process.
