St. Joseph School has been selected by the US Department of Education as a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence. This distinction is given to schools whose students score in the top 10% nation-wide on standardized testing.

St. Joseph School is accredited by the Middle States Association of Schools and Colleges.


Colette Vail, school principal, has been honored by the US Department of Education and the National Catholic Education Association as a National Distinguished Principal. This is the highest honor a principal can attain.


Several teachers have had articles published in educational magazines.

Studio Art teacher Maria Errichiello regularly exhibits her own work in juried exhibitions.

Music teacher Cara Zakian composes children's music, available for your enjoyment on You Tube.

Grade 3 teacher Jane Quigley received a two year scholarship to study the Orton-Gillingham program for Reading at Farleigh Dickenson University.


This year, grade 8 graduates received more than $250,000 in high school scholarship offers. One student received a full four year scholarship to Regis High School in New York City.

Students frequently win local contests in art or essay writing.
